Members can come to the Hackerspace to hack and learn whenever they want (see limitations below). At the Hackerspace, membership means taking responsibility and committing to help to maintain, improve, and govern the Hackerspace. As a member of the Hackerspace, you don't just come here to hack and learn, you actively work to improve what you see around you, help to deal with problems, and make this community better than it is today.

How to become a member

  • Contact one of the existing members, if you know any. Express your interest and they will tell you what to do. Basically you'll also have to:
  • Fill this Membership Form. You'll be contacted shortly.

Membership fee

The Hackerspace has two different monthly fees:

  • 100 RON (or more, as desired) - Non-students, those who do have an income, are employed, or just want to contribute more to the Hackerspace.
  • 50 RON - Broke or so called Starving Hacker: Students and people under 18.
    • Note: Applicant should provide his/her Student ID.

Payments should be preferrably made via our Unicredit bank account (receipt needed), or cash if you don't like working with banks. When you pay by bank transfer, please use the comment field on the transfer to specify you're paying the membership fee and the period you're paying for ('membership Jan' or 'membership Jan-Jul'. It is desirable that members pay on long-term (3-12 months).
